MEET THE BAND

TRACI KAYLOR
Lead Vocals & Percussion
While OFF DA CUFF is a 100% equally team-run band, Traci is our "fearless leader." A true "front woman," she not only sings lead but also gets the crowd going by encouraging participation - whether encouraging sing alongs, shout outs or dancing with the crowd - especially the line dances.
She handles our bookings, coordinates rehearsals (where she FEEDS the band!), works on marketing with original drummer Sam Maggio, and creates the set lists.
Traci recently retired from teaching, but still is busy with her other business, TK Bartending and More.
Her favorite songs to perform are "Country Girl" by Luke Bryan, "Free" by The Zac Brown Band and "Chain of Fools" by Aretha Franklin... but she loves ALL genres of music.

MIKE RUIZ
Guitar & Vocals
Mike is the "master slayer" of the band. His extensive career gives him the knowledge to duplicate most classic guitar riffs. We like to call him our "Local Carlos Santana" as he specializes in our latin-flavored covers.
Mike is a professional musician, also performing as a solo artist.
He is a founding member of OFF DA CUFF.
Some of Mike's favorite songs to perform are "Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas and "Sabor A Mi" by Santana. Mike enjoys letting it rip with all genres of music, though.

GENE BEAVERS
Bass Guitar & Vocals
OFF DA CUFF welcomes our new bassist, Gene Beavers!
Way back in Seminary school Gene had lots of time on his hands, and taught himself how to play the acoustic guitar. Although basically "left-handed,” the only guitars he could borrow at the time were right-handed so that’s how he learned. It wasn’t until a bit later that he discovered the fact that, for the right price, you could get left-handed instruments; but by that time it

JACKIE "FINCH" ENX
Drums
OFF DA CUFF is excited to announce our new permanent drummer! After solving the Cuban missile crisis, being able to catch Forest Gump and bring him back into the stadium and finally getting HAL to open the podbay doors, Finch has set her sights on providing a backbeat for "Off da cuff". Let's dance!!!!
was way too late. He was playing “rightie!”
Finally in a position to go out and audition for bands, Gene encountered an abundance of guitar players and very few bass players... he figured that 4 strings had to be easier to play than 6. And so his bass playing career began!
Gene has been in a couple of bands that have released albums …as in actual vinyl! Rude Dudes and Vitamin Z was released back in 1990 and got airplay on the local rock stations in Philly - as did the Plyers release in 1991.
His influences over the years are many and varied ranging from Phil Lynot of Thin Lizzy, Sir Paul McCartney, Chris Squire of Yes, Chuck Rainey of Steely Dan fame - and all the Motown greats to name a few.
